NEW TELECOMMUTING SOFTWARE COUNTS TREES SAVED
(POTOMAC, MD)-- The new TeleworkAudits and TeleworkAnalysys
software suite, launched at Telecommute `96 in Phoenix AZ, produces an
Environmental Impact Report detailing the "green" affects of
having a Telecommuting program. It compares the before and after impact
in terms of savings in noxious exhaust gasses, tires, gasoline and trees
(paper generation related). The green report, with its accompanying
charts, is one of a series produced automatically by this expert
software. Others include: a cost/benefit analysis, capital budget
needs schedules for furniture & telecoms, hardware and software
in addition to an Executive Summary. The 11 reports can be added to
and customized by using Excel® 5 or 7 or Visual Basic®.
Conference delegates interacted live with TeleworkAudits
to help create the teleworking data base that was, with only 20
seconds of TeleworkAnalysys calculation time, turned into 11
reports. The power of the suite was further demonstrated when several
"what-ifs" were generated by modifying some of the 104
adjustable standard costs. The total process, from data capture to
report production, took 90 minutes! Hard copies of the reports were
made for each of the 240 attendees. 3 sets of the TeleworkAudits
and TeleworkAnalysys software suite (worth $599 each) were won by
attendees from: Bay Networks, Inc.; Government Services, Canada &
a County Government in Minnesota.
Telework Analytics International, Inc., the innovative leader in
telecommuting software with its TeleworkAudits &
TeleworkAnalysys, has a unique suite of easy point-and-click
Windows®-based programs. It helps determine the economic viability
of telecommuting and the best candidates to pursue it without the risk
of exposing sensitive information to outside consultants and
competitors. The suite enables an organization to evaluate the cost
effectiveness of telecommuting before investing time, energy and money
in the adoption of what may to some seem a speculative policy.
The analysis methodology used combines proven empirical case study
results with accountancy practice and with HR principles. With 104
standard costing elements, 68 job description headings, 54 attitudinal
considerations and the ability to create "what-if" scenarios,
TeleworkAnalysys & TeleworkAudits provide a fast track
to telecommuting by producing rapid answers to telecommuting and
teleworking related questions.
A TeleworkAudits
personal mini demo is on-line at http://www.teleworker.com/sample.html.
The resulting analysis can be downloaded to show to your supervisor!
"Telecommuting is clearly here to stay," said John Edwards,
Executive Director of TAI. "Two-thirds of Fortune 100 companies
already have telecommuting programs. Our software cuts through the
confusion and reduces the risk of costly mistakes when making
telecommuting decisions". Employers can save $4,000 - $10,000
per year on office space alone. Some estimates put the total employer
savings as equal to the entire salary of the telecommuting employee.
The TeleworkAudits & TeleworkAnalysys suite costs under
$50 per employee, it runs under Microsoft Windows 3.1+, is compatible
with Windows `95 and NT, and can be downloaded into Excel® 5 or 7.
TAI is a private, for-profit company whose founders and owners have
more than 20 years teleworking experience in the US, Europe and Asia.
